My Uncle, John D. Clagett, was in the same theatre as Chester, and I think I remember that he spoke of the plane's name: "Nipper". John was not shot down, but was a Marine tail gunner.  He died 15 years ago, but lived at 4111 Marboro-Ritchie Road in Upper Marlboro, MD 20880, and I believe his brother or nephews still own the property - big farm - and photos could be there.  His sister-in-law, Kitty Clagett was younger and may still remember more..Tail gunners used to send packages back from Hawaii entitled: "boost-the-civialian-morale" packages
