Checking status of e-mails

I can no longer "check message status" on my sent e-mails.  That selection no longer appears with "view message source", etc, etc. when I click on "Action".  Why do I - all of a sudden - no longer have the ability to check status on my sent e-mails?

Thanks very much!

On Thursday (4/3) a new version of webmail was released.  A primary goal for this new webmail version was to increase performance speed.  With this goal of providing a faster performing product for all, certain difficult trade offs in regard to the technical implementation had to be made.  The difficult decision to remove the “Unsend” and “Status” features were part of those trade offs.

While it was understood that some users would be inconvenienced, if not down right upset, by this decision the hope was that a better overall performing product for all will have been delivered.  You can see what else was new with this webmail release by going to mailblog.aol.com.

However, please be aware that the “Unsend” and “Status” features are still available in our integrated clients (e.g., AOL 9.1 and AOL Desktop).

What do you mean by the "our integrated clients?"  Do you mean your paying customers lol?  So that means that I can no longer check the status of my sent mail---I can no longer find out if my email was 'read' or 'deleted'?  WOW, that really sucks!!!  And as far as I can tell, instead of AOL being faster it's actually slower so this is not a good trade off.

Just my 2 cents Tongue out.

Status has been returned to webmail.  So you should be able to access it again.

By "integrated clients" I meant AOL software, not paying members.  The status feature is available to all users, free and paid.  Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for using our products!
