Check for dead pixels on lcd television

How do i check if there are dead pixels on my 42 lcd tv?

I don't know any high tech way of doing it in TV's except for looking at the display when it's mostly lit with Red,Green,Blue,Black and white. As opposed to TV's, Computers, have softwares you can install on, which will lit your screen with these colors. As for the TV, I'll suggest you to use a recorder or something you can pause the picture with.

Two options:

If you can attach a computer, use this freeware to check the LCD.

 If not, hook up a video that can broadcast a complete blue screen and simply look for the dead pixels on the screen.
