Asked about “AOL Mail Help

"Check Message Status" function

In the AOL window "Sent Mail", I recently lost the option of "Check message status" in the drop-down menu on the "Action" button.  How can I get that back?

AOL Mail - Community Support Team

Due to the overwhelming feedback we added this feature back this morning. It should be back under the "Action" menu now. And we are also looking into how we can improve this feature, since it only can support mail sent to AOL accounts properly. This feature is not supported by any other mail provider, which was the original reason why we removed it.

I must be missing something.  I still can't find the "Check Message Status".

Is it because I'm using AIM mail?  Is there something else I need to do, or is it not available at all for AIM mail useres?

AOL Mail - Community Support Team

Go to http://webmail.aol.com - or http://mail.aim.com (this doesn't really matter). Open the "Sent" folder. Open or mark a sent mail. You will find the "Show Message Status" option under the "Action" menu.

I went to both, and followed your instructions. What appears under the "action" menu is:

If I mark the message: 

Mark Unread

Mark Read

Flag

Clear Flag

Move to: (with a list of my folders"

New Folder.

If I open the message:

Flag Message

Create Filter

Print message

View message source

 Move to (with a list of my folders)

Please make sure you reload the application and clearing the cache might also help
