Changing from one SS account to another
I am 64 years old and have been a widow for 12 years. According to Social Security, I can begin to draw benefit at age 66, but would draw a better benefit if I waited until age 70. I was also told by SS that since my lifetime earnings are greater than my husbands I would be better drawing on my own account. Would it be possble for me to draw against his account until I turn 70, then switch to my own to get the higher benefit? I am not greedy, unfortunately this is my sole income.
