Change a format with Adobe Photoshop

How do I change a photo from TMP format back to it's original format of JPEG. I do not know how it got to the TMP format, but now I have lost it somewhere in my computer and I can not locate it. All I can see there now is a small white screen with a symbol of a camera in it. I am using Adobe Elements 4. Andie

Please use the software - "Adobe Photoshop" - to open the file.

You can save the file with a jpeg extension.

Let me know how it works.
