A Challenge for those that do not like our President?

Is it feasible for those with an obvious dislike for our President to State such without using demeaning terms, insults, lies, etc.  There is no need for it and I'm wondering what the TRUE reason is.  I challenge those that do not like our President to say it without linking, insults, lies, etc.  Thank you.

Bright ideas need more than wings, they also need landing gear.

My grandmother taught me when I was young that "if you can't say something good about someone, don't say anything." The Apostle Paul also wrote "if there be any good thing... think on these things."

Many who dislike our new president are reacting to the reflection of their own life failures and unfulfilled dreams bouncing back from his enormous success.

He chose wisely as a child and was loved by the grandparents who raised him, and friends who knew him. He chose wisely in high school and began to excel early and was able to get accepted in prestigous Ivy League  schools. He chose wisely in love and entered a sustained and healthy relationship and marriage. He chose wisely in his career to serve the "less fortunate" when he had other choices which set him on a path to the ultimate platform for service, the presidency of the United States. He chose wisely in politics building a political base wide enough and strong enough to beat impossible odds, and do what money alone could not do. He chose wisely in his spirituality, and became a Christian when he was equally schooled in the Muslim Faith. Christianity was not a better choice, but the right choice for his destiny.

So many who do not like him use the vocabulary of their limited self esteem, and unfulfilled dreams to try and put words to the pictures in their minds and numb the pain of poor life choices. It is all the vocabulary they have. Is it right for them to use what they have? yes just as it is right for President Obama and those of us who understand their reasons to "forgive them for they know not what they do."

Smile  If it's funny, laugh. If it isn't funny, laugh anyway!  Smile

The ones that do that are the same ones that insult the poster as well. If you state something negative about Obama they attack you personally. The other way around as well. If you state something positive they attack you too.

This is the caliber and intelligence of some of the people that post here. They insult the President, or you, because they are not educated enough to debate an issue on it's own merit.

Another reason they attack you personally is to try and Bully you and intimidate you off the blog. Some people have some very good opinions and responses but are chased away because they don't want to be called names. Just state your opinions and don't bother to post to them, and they will go away. It's really all they have are the insults. The intelligence level is very low for some of them and they couldn't spell their own name is they didn't copy and paste it.

That is easy to do, I just wonder if those who Love President Obama can do what you are asking about President Bush?  I will also start by saying I do not dislike President Obama I just dislike many of his actions and policies.

1.  The government take over of GM and the forced closing of dealerships.  Many bond holders of GM and Chrysler has stated they have been strong armed by the White House into making bad deals or their reputations would be tarnished.

2. Forcing at a CEO of a publicly trade company.

3. Going around Congress to force new auto standards that are not good business for a hurting industry.

4.  Making statement and polices that have hurt whole industries.  Vegas, small jets, and student loans.

5. Cap and trade!

6. He still is in campaign mode and speaks with out thinking of how to or if his statement can be accomplished.  Example, no pork in stim bill, no lobbyists in the White House,  and closing G Bay.

7. The census to the White House.

Just a few examples.

I will concur as to #7 and did not agree with his position on FISA (may has well been Bush).  I know the history of GM is bad and getting worse.  I know that Sir John Templeton (templeton group) was deeply involved in their last bailout.  What do you think is the solution with GM.  I would like all to answer as it's the core of our Economics really.  How many times do you bail out for the workers instead of bailing out the workers without the company (wholly justified at this point).

I appreciate it George as I find it odd also.  Below Schwija has made one or two very valid points.  It would be constructive and help open true and open conversation if you could give your opine on GM.  TY

"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety."

I agree with you completely. There seem to be many people unable to make a case against the policies of the president without resorting to questioning where he was born, making a point of mentioning his middle name, claiming he's really a Muslin or calling him the AntChrist. If you do not go along with their point of view, you are a stupid kool-aid drinking  socialist.

It is that kind of behavior that is turning off the vast majority of Americans who are neither right-wing or left-wing but in the middle and who want not name-calling or fear-mongering but new ideas and policies.

Schwiga, I agree that President Obama has done a number of things I object to and not done some of the things he promised to do during his campaign.

But since you asked if those who disagree with Bush could do what "forourpresident" is asking, I'll enumerate a few of the things I think he handled terribly:

1. Invading Iraq on the pretexts that they had WMDs and/or were involved in 9-11 without doing all he could to get a UN mandate

2. Not having a post-war plan for Iraq

3. Failing to recognize the catastrophe of Hurricane Katrina and appointing a crony,  Mike Brown who was totally unprepared to head FEMA

4. Permitting torture

5. Ignoring a memo from the CIA titled "Bin Laden determined to strike U.S." given him weeks before the terrorist attack while he was vacationing at his ranch in Craford

6. Declaring "Mission accomplished" in May 2003

7. Undersestimating the cost of the Iraq War

8. Giving tax cuts to the wealthy

9. Losing focus on Afghanistan in the early years of the war by turning his attention to Iraq, which now has worsened the situation not only in Afghanistan but also in Pakistan

10. Appointing another crony, Alberto Gonzales, to head the Justice Department

11. Awarding lucrative contracts to Halliburton

12. Pushing Medicare prescription legislation that will bankrupt Social Security 10 years sooner than previously projected

13. Inheriting a surplus and leaving with a record deficit

14. Ignoring the Constitution and furthering "the imperial presidency"

15. Leaving an economy with the worst jobless rate since Carter and shrinking the middle class, with financial institutions and major manufacturers on the brink of collapse
