Hello, So I already have my Bachelor's degree in Design and Merchandising, but wanted to go back to school to obtain my teacher's certification in art education. I want to teach art to kids. A lot of schools require for a master's degree that I have already a bachelor's in an art related field to apply, I was just wondering what I could do? Anyone have some good suggestions, or different certification program ideas? Thank you!
Maybe this will help. Approach it from both sides. Contact the art education department at the University, and ask a counselor whether, and how much credit you can get for your design degree. Maybe you only need to take psychology, pedagogy, and a few other classes.
Secondly, contact the schools where you would love to teach. Some schools will accept "...or equivalent", meaning you may qualify with the education and/or experience that you already have.

I believe that you should consider consulting specialized websites about art courses and resources, since they are quite used to answering questions concerning topics like the one that interests you.
