Central heating alternatives!

I live in an area which does not have gas. I would love a wet central heating system which heats my hot water too but do not want oil. Does any one have experience with electric combi boilers or does any one have any other ideas on what I could use??

You can get a electric boiler, it heats the water via an eleiment, but be warned they are expensive to run..

Go to your local plumbing and heating supplies merchant they will give you all the details.

there are basically 2 ways to do this, electric boilers that will do both domestic and heating water. you can also use an electric hot water tank. both will do the jobs you want but you will need to some extra work to get both from one package. you will need a separate pump and relay for domestic water. you can also find a hot water coil to fit into your forced air furnace if you already have one. this way you can use the duct work instead of installing baseboards in all the rooms for heating.
