Now that Carter admitted that his effort to get Hamas to speak with Israel failed in addition to the failed Oslo pact between Israel and the Palestinians, don't you think he should realize that all his efforts ended in failure and he should finally retire to his peanut farm?

Hi,
Absolutely right.  He did much harm in his recent meetings (Hamas are claiming that they received public legitimacy from him)..... no one in Israel wanted to meet him, since he is considered here "biased" (strongly pro-arab) and being such he can't be a middleman (and no one in Israel trust him either).
