Are you talking about the actual cleaner or the machine? You need to give more details - I'm assuming the cleaner because you mentioned "pets" - always go for the pet formula of cleaning solution because they contain neutralizers (will say so on the label) and work better than other formulas which usually just mask any odors. Rent the machines from Home Depot - they're awesome - really high suction action and do a great job.
