The answer here is to figure out how you can use your money that you work hard for in the wisest way:

1. If your car is broken down, figure out how much it will cost to repair.

2. Do some research on how much a reliable used car will cost

3. Check to see if you have any friends you can car pool with for awhile so you can save up money

4. Check to see how much money you will make if you sell your car either for parts or as a whole.

5. Sell your car if it costs more to repair than to buy another better one.

6. Do your best to wait/car pool until you save enough money to buy a reliable used car (don't go into debt unless absolutely necessary).

8. Stay within your means. If you can't afford to buy a car then don't. Use public transportation; move to a location where you won't need a car or can car pool.
