Car mechanical problems

The digital display is out on my son's 2008 Ford Fusion. 2 dealerships told him that after turning the car on and off for 80 times that it will no longer start unless he gets it fixed first. 1 dealership told him this wasn't so, and Ford headquarters gave him no answer other than continuously transferring his call. Any help?

I would start by checking the grounds on the wireing harness this is a common problem. Also try reprograming the instrument cluster to the latest calibration.
