Car and Transportation Budget

Would you stop driving your car if you realized it's too much of a drain on the family budget?

Would you sell the car/reduce use/limit your gas intake per week?

Always look your best because you never know who you're going to meet.

If I thought my car was putting a strain on my finances, I'd definitely reduce my usage of the it, but I don't think I'd sell it. There are always instances that I would need to get somewhere and I'd hate to be in a panic because I couldn't get somewhere because I didn't have the car.

I have one weekly commute where the car is only viable option.  I've purchased a Prius two years ago, have reduced my gas intake and would reduce my gas intake even more by using public transportation for commuting back and forth to work and social events.
