Hi Betty,

Please go to https://bill.aol.com/changePlan/changePlan.adp to see the options for our plans. One of the plans is a Free plan (which, if you never use it, is a cancel.) Also, if you have your own access (like DSL or a Cable Modem or even another dialup provider) you can continue to use AOL for free. You'll be able to keep your email address, all your favorites, and the AOL experience.

If you wish to keep a dialup plan -- because you travel, or have a summer home without broadband (I wish), you should look towards our dialup plans.

For the free users, there is no way for you to deactivate your AOL account. However, you can simply stop using the account.

Well I don't use AOL, but wow. Look at what this guy had to go through to cancel his AOL account and easily bought. In 94/95 I had no problem with canceling my aol account...
