Calling all humans

perhaps - but as you point out you do not know me. i do agree with the overall meaning of your reply and do not want to give you the wrong impression but i have opened my home to an almost stranger - found employment - supported in situations that i wound up getting stomped - to be shown the lesser of our humanity in the end . caution is important but in the past i have been a more seize the moment person. i have learned a few lessons and also realized that from time to time i have not been to bright - 20-20 hindsight - some people are wonderful and some are not. now i start at not wonderful and see if the person is in fact a basic human ( good-decent ect ) but outside of my little world i feel like " who the hell am i to judge anyone " so i have a ying/yang pang. thanks for your reply. you have made me see something i might not have seen.

perhaps i just grew up in a bad place or time . perhaps hate is the improper word to use , maybe i am just the grumpy old fart that i have been told i am - i just find it hard  not to be judgemental on inital contact with people. people have personality ticks that are precursors to what they are truely like. more times than not i am 100% in 1st impressions - ok 90% on a good day. i am sure that you have had " gut feelings " at sometime in your life . well now that i am older i have culled my herd of associates and grown protective of the people in  my life. perhaps as you point out how can i love or hate people i do not know - you are right . but with all that is going on in this world i feel justified in perhaps being overzealously protective of mostly family and my true friends. people are more disengenuious these days - in my way of thinking . thanks for the reply and thanks

its true - there is no fool like an old fool

i learned a long time ago that the only way you will get hurt is if you let  ( allow)someone to hurt you. for whatever reason you may have at the time i found that i was the reason that i got hurt.  also i feel that in the big picture i see myself as one messed up puppy. i stopped expecting people to do as i do long ago for that reason. just because i felt that the right thing should ( and would ) allways prevail - dosent make that the truth. people -the legal system - family blah blah.....
