California Fires- A terror act by Al Qaeda?

What do you think was the cause for the California fires? Could it be an intentional igniting? Could it possible be a terror act carried by Al Qaeda and Bin Laden?

FBI: al-Qaeda detainee spoke of fire plot

PHOENIX (AP) — The FBI alerted law enforcement agencies last month that an al-Qaeda terrorist now in detention had talked of masterminding a plot to set a series of devastating forest fires around the western United States.

Rose Davis, a spokeswoman for the National Interagency Fire Center in Boise, told The Associated Press that officials there took note of the warning but didn't see a need to act further on it.

The contents of the June 25 memo from the FBI's Denver office were reported Friday by The Arizona Republic. Davis declined to share a copy of the memo and an FBI spokeswoman in Denver didn't immediately return a telephone call.

The Republic reported that the detainee, who was not identified, said the plan involved three or four people setting wildfires using timed devices in Colorado, Montana, Utah and Wyoming that would detonate in forests and grasslands after the operatives had left the country.

The memo noted that investigators couldn't determine whether the detainee was telling the truth.

The newspaper said many forest law enforcement officers it contacted had no idea the warning had been issued.

The terrorist responsible for the devastating wildfires in the west isn't Al-Qaeda.  It's GWB and his cronies.  They have done nothing to stop the global warming of which these wildfires are a symptom.

That alert was issued years ago.  Not to say that it still couldn't happen but these fires are caused by global warming not global terrorism.

Most fires are caused by man and therefore one could assume that the California fires are no different. On the other hand, California has been known to have a few natural fires every year and it's quite possible these fires fall in to that group.

I don't think that Al Qaeda and Bin Laden started the fires. It just seems less likely.

9-11 is so over, we are now living with the fall out; that everything is a conspiracy, that terrorists are all around, that Iraq has/had WMD's, that Iran ,with a defense budget 1% of the US, is about to have a bomb, blah, blah blah.  Ever heard of Mother Nature????  Global warming helped, meaning ALL of us, but Mother Nature still runs the world.  I can think of 50 different ways to create havoc as I am sure any terrorist can also.  Either live in fear or just live!
