Calculating F number when using flash on manual

When I use a flash on Manual mode, how do I calculate the needed F number, according to the guide number and object distance?

I'll search, while you Cool wait.

Hi, I really don't know what type of camera you are using.  But the Army and Navy trained together using a Cannon AE-1.  Here is a link to old manuals we used, but are still useful today when trying to find formulas for the aperture (the f-stop).  I hope that you will find the manual as useful as we did.  When we and the world began to use digital cameras,  these manuals became obsolete.
