CFLs

Have you ever BROKEN one of those Compact Fluorescent bulbs that every one is so gung-ho about? Don't ever let anyone in your city know about it. They contain mercury vapor and some municipalities require Haz Mat teams to clean them up--cost?? Upwards to $5,000! What is so horribly wrong with a cotton filament in a vaccuum lighting & heating our homes? I believe that if we used the sun and wind extremely more efficiently, we wouldn't be using coal anyway, and the emissions from using coal would be a moot point!
