CCJ 12 years old

i had a joint account 12 years ago with a bank and when I broke up with partner he was meant to pay off his share of overdraft. I have heard nothing in 12 years so presumed he had, however I recently tried to re mortgage my flat and the same debt came up in a credit check but it was registered in 2006...10 years after I cloed the account..how can that be? I thought they dropped off after 6 years and why have I not received anything from them til now?

Same Day Payday Loans & Cash Advance for your instant financial requirements

Immediately ask your partner about the matter and check your past financial records as well. If you really find any such thing as a 'wrong doing' of your partner and he denies this liability, sue him in the court and consult the financial adviser. Also, check with your bank and do the right with the consult of the adviser. I hope, you will find a suitable solution for your problem.

Need to know about finance, payday loans or to get debt help or debt advice? I'm your man.

It seems like the bank only registered the CCJ a long time after your split - they may have had a review of what they see as "bad debt."

As the previous posted has said you need financial advice. Good luck with it all.
