Are some dive watches more geared for actual diving than others?

I have a Longines Hydronconquest, and I love it, even though I don't actually dive. But I'm just curious if Longines actually put in the effort to make it as durable of a dive watch as a company that I associate with being geared for diving are legibility, easy to use bezel, higher depth ratings
