I own a small Business. I boughtBusiness interruption insurance this year. I thought I was covered for any Interruption. We had the unfortunate experience in our part of the country of being with out power for 6 days in September and 7 days in January. I lost over 20,000. The insurance company says you did not have the correct coverage. I asked my agent why I did not have the right coverage and found out that there is a catastrophic plan that would have covered this loss. She simply did not offer it or even acknowledge it existed. What should I do? I feel the agency I have been with for ovewr 10 years seriously let me down.
