Bush in the Middle East

Do you think President Bush's recent visit to the Middle East will have any affect on the peace process? Do you think his stand on creating an independent Palestinian State will affect his popularity both within the United States and internationally?

Hi,


President Bush will force the parties to reach a peace treaty but it will not be worth the value of the paper it was written on......  Please remember that more than half of the Palestinians do not accept their President (Abu Mazen) and say, loud and clear, that they will not accept any agreement that he will sign.....  Very sad but very true....

Wisdom begins in wonder

I think that Bush administration is playing a game called "we are the good guys." I think that B. administration likes to be both sided in the Israel Palestine conflict. If they are asking for peace between those two now, it has to serve B. administration in some way. My opinion is that they are calming the waves in one area, because they need to stir things up elsewhere.
