Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton?

Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton might be the order in which 2 families would have occupied the white House starting form Goerge Bush senior should Hillary Rodham Clinton win the race to the White House and should she serve 2 terms it would mean these 2 families would have occupied the White House for 28 years. Is this fair to the American people, further more it is highly rumoured that Jebb Bush wants to have a go at running for the White House, so assuming he does make it to the White House after Hillary serves 2 terms, what we will have is Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton, Bush and should Jebb serve for two terms these 2 families would have occupied the white house for a total of 36 years, is this really fair?

Love is the battery of life....

Hi,
I wouldn't bother too much if it's fair, the question to ask is: Are they (all) the best candidates to lead America (and the world) ?  (and it really should not matter what is their: surname, gender, colour, religion, age, education, etc......
By the way, you can speculate a bit further: Assume that Chelsea will do it as well, than you have: Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton-Bush-Clinton, all together 48 years..... (assuming 8 years each) makes me smile.....
Best regards,

Infact that's the most important question, the American people might be slowly developing a pattern where they vote for family names rather than quality and ability, take George .W. Bush for example he's never been the best of candidates and one can't argue much with the idea that him coming from the Bush family helped him defeat a much better Al Gore, Gore was on many counts much better than Bush but in the final analysis the Bush name prevailed. We need to be careful or we risk creating a defacto Monarchy.

If Chelsea stood and ruled for 8 years the total would actually come to 44 years not 48 years since George Bush senior only ruled for 1 term.

Hi,

I agree with OronD.   I gave him 2 thumbs up.  It does not really matter who rules America as long as they are capable of leading, compassionate, and try to do what is right for America and the whole world.  We need someone who has Zero tolerance for people who like to oppress others.

I also agree with OronD. But what about George .W. Bush is that the best America could do, look at what he has done to the country (i.e the economy, the foreign image etc). It is quite clear that if he had not come from the Bush family he would have come no where near the American Presidency. Yet he ascended to power and now look at what he has done to America. It is true that if the Bush-Clinton families will continue producing the best candidates for Presidency then let them rule for 100 years and create a defacto monarchy, but let them not give us the calibre of George .W. Bush.
