Well you could get with a few local churches and try to do some fund raising,try bake sales, or a sale with donated things for the cause.You could do your own donation jars.  You could see if any local bands and or bars could help with a benefit. The state will help to a certain degree but all the estate will have to be sold first. They will allow so much towards this. Send every second you can with your brother know that doctors are not god so they don't know everything, I had a brain surgeron admit that to me.

 You do not owe for your Mother's bill usless you signed papers as responsible party. Medicare should of covered 80% of that bill.
