Does anyone know what a bump that hurts behind my right ear could possibly be? I just noticed it yesterday, and it's incredibly sensitive. I'd appreciate any ideas. I am going to the doctor next week, but I'm just curious. Thanks for your help.

Take your pick. Pimple, cyst, boil; with/without infection.

Hi,
This is what you do. Go to (Web MD) online, it is like doctors online, it has a symptoms checker, it will guide you through the process, from there you can find out what could be causing it to happen. Then you can decide if you need to go and see a specialist.
Good luck!

Go to the doctor. It could be something as simple as a white or blackhead. But it could be a keloid. Its a tumorlike mass of skin that could actually be cancerous. Go get it checked out. My aunt used to get them from wearing earrings. At first we thought it came from cheap jewelry but she started wearing real gold and it still did it. Her doctor told her she cant wear earrings at all and she hasnt had them since.

You have lymphnodes located there, mine get swollen when I get sick. But they don't stay swollen for more than 5-7 days. If it's been 3 weeks now I'd go back to the doctor, it sounds like you probably need antibiotics or something to kick this out of your system.
