What is the one item you can really do without on your family budget?
What is the most important thing, which you will not be able to survive?
I guess food is the most important since I literally wouldn't be able to survive without it. The least important would be buying new clothes relatively often. Everyone needs to buy clothes but the question is how expensive they are and how often you buy them.

Food is a must, entertainment and vacations can be easily taken off. I would also think about gas if I can manage with public transportation I would do so.
TV...sweet cable could just go...between dvd rentals and the internet, radio, and discount tapes, I swear I do not need cable.
I couldn't cut the food budget.
I could live without vacations. But don't take away great food and great wine!
well in my family i must say food lots of glucose tablets and insulin
Keep the food of course can't live without that. Get rid of cell phones andif a cell phone is all you have then get rid of all of the options no texting no call waiting use less minutes no nights and weekend plans call the provider and they will help you cut down on your bill. Cable is another option cut down on your package to the bear minimum. See if you can get a better rate on you auto ins. by used items. Live like a cave man I personally think the world needs to reboot anyway.
