I don't think that Brooke Sheilds is trying to be an advocate for teen sex. In my opinion, 18 is an appropriate age for losing your virginity. I am 18 now and I have just become sexually active. For me it was important to wait until I was out of high school. I feel like I am now an adult and am at an age where I am old enough to make my own decisions and take responsibility. Brooke Sheilds was 22 when she lost her virginity. That's a 4 year age difference from 18. So if she would have lost her virginity earlier, sometime within those 4 years, then I wouldn't judge her.

17 is the right age for girls, 15 or 16 for most boys
