What Was That Bright Flash On The Horizon?

Israel seems determined to have its war with Iran. Whether it is conducted as a joint operation between the United States and Israel or a unilateral strike on Israel’s own imitative it is unlikely Iranian reaction would be limited to just Israel with our carrier fleets a tempting target and near sitting ducks to Iranian missiles.

Iran can easily mine, block and render impassible the narrow Straights of Hormuz leading in and out of the strategic oil loading terminals inside the Persian Gulf that are many Super Tanker’s ports of call in the vital and strategic flow of Oil in and out of the Middle East.

The last thing the World Economy needs right now is another spike in oil prices or shortages and one wonders what the Israeli’s hope to accomplish through such a first strike against an Iran that clearly not yet Nuclear capable.

I wonder if the rush is in part due to Israeli fears and hopes that its defense against Iranian retaliation would be lessened should the United States exit its occupation of Iraq before such a confrontation between Israel and Iran occurs prohibiting any possibility U.S. Forces in Iraq could bolster Israeli defenses.

Any retaliation of course by Iran against our Naval forces in the Persian Gulf or ground forces in neighboring Iraq and Afghanistan would of course drag the United States headlong into the war brining our own Military’s full might to bear if need be to continue a decades long trend of allowing Israel to police the Middle East with near impunity.

One of many poor foreign policy decisions made by the United States on behalf of Israel that has made us in return the Islamic Extremists terrorist target of choice which no amount of prosecution through the War on Terror is going to change until the root causes of dissention in the Middle East are dealt with and remedied.

Which is yet another thing Israel is reluctant to do as its own foreign and internal policies drag us deeper and deeper into an ever expanding Middle East War we seem to be fighting primarily on their behalf and for them.

I wonder for all Israel’s bravado and hawkish talk if it would be so quick to strike Iran if it knew America would not come to its defense or replenish American munitions and military hardware spent or lost during the aggression.

Maybe it’s time the New World Order and the United Nations start employing ‘collective security’ to address and confront Israel as the aggressor nation it has now too long been at too great of a cost to the United States of America.

Our country was founded on separation of church and state. I don’t think it’s worth one dollar, one bullet, and certainly not one American life supporting financially and defending militarily any regime or nation not also founded on separation of church and state.

I don’t think our forefathers would either.

Why exactly do we again? What is it we get out of the trillions of dollars pumped into maintaining Israel’s existence, besides terrorists wanting to fly airplanes into our buildings that makes this obviously terrible idea seem such an appealing one to U.S. Administration after U.S. Administration?

I find it quite egregious and incredible that Israel would disclose any plans that they may have to stage a pre-emptive strike on Iran.  Their military constantly considers and revises possible war scenarios, how these wars might be fought, the casualties, and international repercussions.

Every nation does so, if they have a people worth defending.

Perhaps, an agitator is trying to dangle a red herring before us.

Sadly, that really IS an act of war.

I had a Q-clearance from the National Security Administration (NSA also means No Such Agency). They administer all clearances above Secret. Considering a few of the TS documents I had to memorize, I had to wonder why they were even classified.
