Boys absent from CIF Track and Field qualifiers story.

Why were the boys that qualified for for CIF regionals not included in this story? It seems the girls are always featured and photographed, but rarely the boys. I understand the girls do have an outstanding team this year, but please give the few boys that made it to CIF their due credit as well. Thank you.

Always know what you want.

There's always competition between girls and boys teams. Whomever wrote the article probably assumed he'd sell more papers by mentioning the girls and leaving out the boys. When I was in high school, it was always the opposite; the boys always got press coverage, the girls almost never.

The Redlands Coach generally does not report about the boys. He only reports to journalists about the girls. The Redlands Daily Facts also is responsible for not reporting this info or any info on REV. A little investigation and more balanced journalism would be nice.

REV qualified in 9 or 10 events for CIF, including 4 CBL champs on the boys side and a 10th grade girl in 2 events on the girls side. No mention of this has been made. Talking to one coach does not constitute good journalism.
