Boy charged with killing his family- Who should be put to blame?

I know, it's a contraversial issue, but who do you think it to blame, the gun control policy in the US or the human being behind the gun, in this case a 15 years old who hadn't been getting along with his father?

I think the gun control policy is at blame. A 15 year old can do some really stupid things without really meaning to do harm. The fact the weapons are so accessible is the scary thing. Children will make mistakes and we need to make sure they aren't lethal ones.

I don't know if there should be a ban on owning a gun but there must be serious restrictions.

I do not care if he is 15 or 55. He should die for his crime. This is no loss to humanity.

While it is true that the current laws make guns too easily accessible that should not justify  a boy killing his father.  Society should make guns less accessible. Murder is still murder and if he didn't get a gun he would have used a knife, hammer or some other means to kill.

No doubt the responsibility can't be relieved from the criminal. Murder is an action that needs to have the most severe penalties attached to it. Let us not though, stick our heads in the sand and say that gun control has nothing to do with it. It's naive to think that when people have guns in their homes such actions can be avoided.

A 15 year old boy who does not know right from wronge to the point that he kills his father should either be locked up in a mental istitute or locked up in prison. Who's to blame? The parents for raising a child who is capable of shooting them and for not following the guilines of owning a handgun that keep it away from children. Is gun controll the problem? Absolutley not! Makeing guns illegal only makes the black market stronger, which means it's easier for criminals to get guns, but harder for law biding citizens to arm themselves against the newly armed crimanals. Gun controll is bad people! It's illogical! It's unconstitutional! It makes america less safe, and it promotes a way of thinking that takes away peoples responsabilities by placeing the blam on an inatimit object rather than the boy who killed his own father!!!

Loyalty is the costliest virtue that exists: it includes your life.  Disloyalty is the costliest vice that exists: it includes your soul.

Brosen tells us,

Murder is still murder and if he didn't get a gun he would have used a knife, hammer or some other means to kill.

How very true.  Most times, the real benefit of having a handgun is as a signaling device that WILL summon help.  My neighbor recently suffered a truly savage stabbing attack by a druggie.  If he hadn't fired his gun, we would never have known anything was wrong.  Guns save ten lives for one that they end.  That fact is not lost on Obama, which is WHY he wants us defenseless in the face of knife-weilding thugs.

And may I remind you folks that Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than ALL of my guns?

The issue is one of trust.  Paranoids who demand that we all live in prison are never to be trusted.

To be born free is a gift.

To live free is a privilege.

To die free is our duty.

I can say that MY guns have never killed anyone, but I have shot a few deer.  That doesn't get on the news because it isn't a way to act out hysteria against gun owners.  I don't know why those socialists hate us so much but they provoke violence on themselves deliberately and hope to look like martyrs.

The days ahead of us are going to be violent and racist.  We'll need to defend our homes because once Obama gets done wrecking the nation, there will be no police to call if you need help.
