I have found the two classic books of Dale Carnegie to be the most helpful since most of the others repeat in different ways his recipe for self-improvement:

How to Win Friends and Influence People

and

How to Stop Worrying and Start Living.

I don’t know any one book to help you improve yourself. I doubt if a book per se can cause improvement.

Some very special books can influence you to change your current experiences and embark on new ones.

New experiences will change you. Hopefully for the better.

Napoleon Hill's keys to success. It is a book from the writer of "Think and grow rich" I read the book some years ago, and I think it is one of the best books I have read about self developement. It is easy to read and use a lot of examples to describe different approaches to better ways of thinking.
