Turn off the television and teach your children how to think.

Never. Not once. Not in anything I ever watched, no matter how sad or touching or moving. No tears from Romeo & Juliet (the 1960s version); none from Gone With the Wind; none from Pride of the Yankees...

Although, now that I've reached Hormonal Hell Years, I will say that I tear up for sentimental scenes - any sentimental scene - in movies, books, tv shows and heaven only knows what else; if it's sentimental or sappy, I've got tears in my eyes. Go figure.

Let's see ..... West Side Story, Terms of Endearment, LOTR when Frodo says goodbye to Sam and steps aboard the boat.  Waaaaaa!  There are so many more.  I forgot about The Green Mile.  How about Forest Gump when Jenny dies and Forest is talking to her grave??

I forgot about the scene where Frodo says good bye to Sam and the others too!  That's a killer.  How about Steel Magnolias??  Crikey!

I'm out of the loop on this one, guys... The only film I've seen of those already mentioned is 'West Side Story.'

I'll put some on my list to rent and watch (but not the Tolkein, ever; I've already got pictures in my head and I refuse to go there).

Pay It Forward was gut wrenching!  I LOVE that movie!

Steel magnolias was a really pivotal movie for me.  She was a diabetic with the kidney damage.  I got my tubes tied not long after seeing that for the first time.  I blubbered like a baby all 25 or 30 times I have watched it.
