I was thinking of purchasing a blue tooth support device for my mobile phone, and interested whether using a blue tooth earphone significantly costs more battery power than not using one. Anyone?.
Using a blue tooth headset vs. a wired headset definitely draws more power on your mobile device. When the device and headset are in idle mode the power draw is minor, however, talk time draws significant power. As Blue tooth releases evolve (and the associated new profiles), power consumption will decrease. The next Blue tooth release should occur this year with upgraded devices for 2008.
