Blood pressure differ between home and Doctor's office?

My blood pressure is normal at home ranging from 126/68 to 140/78. At the doctor's office it ranges from 160/80 to 170/92.  Why is this a problem.

Life is like a Vapor, here then gone

You can swim all day in the sea of knowledge, and never get wet.

It is called White Coat. At home your relaxed, when you go to the doctors, you are anxious, nervouse, even if you do not think you are. Its normal. If your not sure about your pressure, you can buy one for home use, or go to the fire station to have it checked for free. The ones in the stores are not right. They are used way to much and not cared for.
