In my day job I write about Blood Pressure Treatment and treat those who suffer from blood pressure problems. Low blood pressure is a particular interest and I'm often asked about how to lower cholesterol levels. A healthy heart is becoming a huge focus for many of us nowadays. Improving your blood pressure control and thus the health of your heart and circulation system is really important. My most recent online "adventure" is to start a facility for people to ask me my opinion and to provide high quality health information by answering medical questions online.

I also have a special interest in the problem of feeling Tired All the Time and in those who suffer from chronic fatigue or lethargy. This seems to tie in also to skin care issues or skin treatment problems and suggestions. Tiredness and fatigue can lead to major problems for many individuals in modern society and the way that this can affect all areas of general health can be quite invasive in terms of daily life and coping skills.

My work with footballers and athletes leads to a focus on Painful Shoulder conditions and on the problems associated with frozen shoulder or whiplash injuryRotator cuff injury causes problems for many of my patients.

When not working I daydream about my next amazing european vacation trip  My favorite European cities include Paris and Barcelona and my next blog project will be to write about the best way to spend a night in Paris and how to find an apartment in Barcelona. I just love European travel in all its forms.

Best Blood Pressure Monitor?

What's the best blood pressure monitor?

Many people with high blood pressure now use a blood pressure monitor to keep an eye on their blood pressure levels.

Have you used a blood pressure monitor? What type do you use? Are you pleased with it? Would you recommend your blood pressure monitor to others?

If it's not fun, you're doing it wrong.

I currently use an Omron HEM-637 Intelli-sense cuff style monitor.  I am thrilled that it works on my wrist and not my arm.  It has memory and graphing abilities that I don't use.

I don't like to make recommendations as a general rule.  Mine was inherited, so free always fits into my budget.

This has got to be a trick question as I believe or have the impression you are a doctor specializing in this. But, I will say this...I am from the old school and believe the most accurate reading is the old fashioned bp cuff and stethescope. My question to you (my turnInnocent) Do you know about endocarditis? Please share your knowledge.

A penny saved  is a penny earned

i can tell when my blood pressure feels high  or low.  last year i bought a wrist monitor blood pressure monitor with 99 memories  one touch operation   automactic inflate with life time warranty.  Smile   it runs on batteries that i have not to replace.  2  aaa.    i got it on sale at     c. v. s.  pharmacy.  i love it.   i took it the doctors with me and they were very close.  usualy drugstore like your big ones in your town will have sales on them.  i got mine for less than $ 40.00.  i had  2 other ones, the kind usded electric and would inflate on your arm with the cup  and both of them went bad  in short time.  and were hard to use  and awarkward to use.   i thought.  i like my wrist one.  cause you dont have to be medical to use it.

good luck

God bless

I like  Omron HEM-780 Automatic Blood Pressure Monitor. This one seems to be the best. The cuff is awesome, easy to wrap around the arm. The display is big and easy to read, it's quiet. it has a memory, keeps an average of the last three readings.
