When not working I daydream about my next amazing european vacation trip My favorite European cities include Paris and Barcelona and my next blog project will be to write about the best way to spend a night in Paris and how to find an apartment in Barcelona. I just love European travel in all its forms.

I take Disothyazide and Amlow in the morning and Enaladex in the evening. I have no noticeable side effects.
My father is on Divan (blood Pressure) and Coreg (heart). He is also taking Coumadin (blood thinner), plavix and simvastatin (cholesterol). He has a bad heart, is on a defibilator and had a Cathiter Ablation procedure in January which seemed to work out good. He got emotionally upset about four days ago and has been an emotional wreck since. He has been going through crying spells, acts like he's having an emotional breakdown, unable to sleep and his blood pressure remains high all day until late at night. Sometimes it never comes down and takes hours for him to get it down. What do I do???
I have 190/100 blood pressure in Dr. Office. At home 140/80---I was on Verapamil SR240---now they switched me to Benicar HCT and Verapamil 180. My heart is pounding out of my chest and runs 105 to 120. I am miserable. Doctor does not seem to care. Should those two be taken together?
Yes I have tried Norvasc which made the skin on my hands and feet peel very substantially.
I have just increased dose of Hydorchlorazide to 50 from 25 and am experiencing nasea, loss of appetite, general malaise, headache, stomach cramps but hope these side effects will soon wear off
I was tried on Altace and had a severe allergic reaction whereby I pumped excess adrenaline for about 30 hours. It was very scary. Due to a past post partum depression I have a high suscepibility for anxious/depression/chemical imbalance and the above situation set off an episode that I am currrently being treated for but as I am only into it for 5 weeks I have some ways to go before it is resolved. It is a struggle especially as I was in a very good space in my life and fully enjoying it before I had this reaction.
I am getting kidney tests to see if that may be part of the reason I reacted to Altace so severely.
I am an assistant with cardioliogy , ups and downs of high blood pressure are b-coming very alarming due to the fact Hypotension and Hypertension meds are not available as they should be due to cost . They start off by giving you a brand which then becomes a generic with which the individual taking the medicine has no knowledge of then , gets great results from the brand with then , a generic comes the pateint then wants the brand at a cost of which is not in there budget. My interests are genetics and infectious disease -- there have been times that a patient will present with hypertension and a predisposing family history and the related complications.
Cozaar, as an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, has the added benefit of keeping the blood vessels from narrowing. It is well tolorated and effective for me.
In rare cases, Cozaar can cause a condition that results in the breakdown of skeletal muscle tissue, leading to kidney failure. XX patients considering pregancy need to be aware of the effects. As always, one's physician is best able to access any concerns IF the patient understands what to ASK.
