I think there is always something to learn from our past, our society faith and belief has evolved based on our past. Experience is a key element , if the human being wasnt a "learning being" we wouldnt  survive till today.

Everything has something to teach us if we wish to learn from it.  This would include our perceptions of what has happend in the past.  Of course, we always see it from our own slant or one that has been handed us and accepted.

If quantum physics is right, there is no past, but only everything happening at once in "no time".

I'd say we can learn from our past best when we are focused on our present situations with optimism.

Most certainly.  We can't learn from the future, it isn't here yet.  We find it difficult to learn from the present ,because we are in the midst of it.  The past is our only true teacher.
