I had a permanent filler injected under my eyes to remove the hollow like appearance. The prodcut a silicone type substance. I now have huge bags under my eyes and a yellow discoloration. I look like I have an allergy or have been crying. HORRIBLE. I went to the surgeon who said he would perform eyelid surgery to remove it and improve appearance. I have consulted severla surgeons and have conflicting responses. Some say cant be removed others say eyelid surgery can help. I am 43. Should I consider surgery?

Unfortunately you will need to speak with a plastic surgeon to determine your best option for eyelid surgery. In general, silicone injections are permanent and the use is off label. There are reactions which can occur after silicone injections and the only way to remove the silicone is with surgery. You have a difficult problem and there is no right or wrong answer. It may take blepharoplasty surgery or a combination of plastic surgery to get the results you wish. Best of luck.
