Apparently she had a really bad reaction to the anesthetic,which isn't that uncommon.I don't think society is to blame.The girl had asymmetrical breasts and had the operation to just feel normal.I understand by what her parents said that her implants were not to be stripper big,but would balance out her body and boost her self-esteem.I don't blame the parents either.I had a reduction at the age of 19 and my parents stuck by me 100%.It's not about looking like a Hollywood glamazon,it's about being comfortable in your body and for me,being a skinny 5'9 125 lb girl with DDD boobs wasn't at all comfortable.Time and investigation will tell if the doctors failed this girl so I can't really comment on that...
No matter what,it's very sad and whatever the investigation uncovers will never bring this kid back to her family where she belongs.
