A teen dies from elective breast surgery.  Whose fault is this?

  • The doctors?
  • The parents?
  • The young woman?
  • Society?

well i read on abc news that she died because of a fatal  reaction to the anesthesia. it said she died of malignant hyperthermia. its a rare metabolic condition thats triggered by some anesthetics. it can make your body temperature rise up to 112 degrees.

MY inferiority complex isn't as good as YOURS

Apparently she had a really bad reaction to the anesthetic, which isn't that uncommon.I don't think society is to blame. The girl had asymmetrical breasts and had the operation to just feel normal.I understand by what her parents said that her implants were not to be stripper big,but would balance out her body and boost her self-esteem.I don't blame the parents either.I had a reduction at the age of 19 and my parents stuck by me 100%.It's not about looking like a Hollywood glamazon,it's about being comfortable in your body and for me,being a skinny 5'9 125 lb girl with DDD boobs wasn't at all comfortable.Time and investigation will tell if the doctors failed this girl so I can't really comment on that...

No matter what,it's very sad and whatever the investigation uncovers will never bring this kid back to her family where she belongs.

My son just genital reconstructive surgery. done this? : Health

Is malformed. The corrective surgery is to essentially butterfly it and rebuild it around a catheter so ). The concern is that there's a small percentage of cases that require a follow-up surgery or that regress in the surgery. Sometimes they have to use the skin to help rebuild, and sometimes while not used it still

Great News: No Kidney Surgery

Well, I got some great news later today. I saw my urologist and I won't be needing any surgery about the surgery, if memory serves correct. No knife is good news. Besides the meds, you made some winter/spring to do anything about the surgery, if memory serves correct. No knife is good news

health care in the news

What are you hearing about the current bill on health care? I'm hearing that the bill will increase (not decrease) health insurance premiums. ! The current bill will have "hidden taxes" on insurance I tore up and completely rehabilitated sans surgery 7 years ago), I have to get my health insurance
