I have a great job, and very satisfied with my position. But not everything is perfect- The thing is that I have a bitchy boss. How would you deal with such situation? I really love position and co-workers, and don't want to leave.
Some people hardly ever have to deal with their boss, and others have to work with him/her and interact with the person every day. It really just depends what your day is usually like. It also depends exactly how bitchy your boss is. I wouldn't put up with any kind of verbal abuse or with someone taking advantage of your hard work, or taking credit for things you do, or even favoring others. If the person is just bitchy to everyone and it's something you can get past, then just live with it. It depends what type of person you are. Maybe it would be good for you to just sit down and have a meeting with your boss, try to break the ice and let the person see that you're nice and that you want to get to know them. Maybe he/she doesn't realize that they aren't speaking to people nicely. Is there a person above your boss? You could always resort to talking to someone else about it.
Love is the battery of life....
Hi,
It is obvious from your letter that you have to deal with your boss more often than you like during your working day. Unfortunately, there is really not much you can do about it except to have a face-to-face meeting and explain that his/her attitude makes it difficult for you to work more efficiently. There are one or two things you might try beforehand. It would be a good idea to bring the subject up in your human resources department. They are always anxious to prevent any static between people that could affect job performance. The next step would meet with your boss's supervisor for a confidential meeting that will not rebound to your detriment. You would be lucky if they are also aware of the problem and you will be the catalyst for correcting it.
