A:You can purchase an owl decoy and place it where the roof line meets the gutter (not sure where you live) or on a balcony railing. It acts like a type of scare crow. I've also seen wire or string hanging or strung across an open window. The birds wouldn't like to get caught in it so they stay away. You see the wire crisscrossed over outside restaurants so that people don't get pooped on.
