If you ask a nutritionist they will tell you to eat a bigger lunch than dinner. It is better for your metabolism. Eating a big meal too late at night is a bad idea because you do less at night and it is not good for the food to just sit while you are inactive. Eating an overly large meal at any time of the day is not good for you. You should try to eat something small at least every five hours. Big meals can make you very tired and eating small meals/snacks with more reasonable sized breakfasts and lunches, and a small dinner is your best bet. Not to mention, if you go too long without eating then your metabolism slows down. Good luck.
