Big baby eats at 1 in the morning -- any advice ?

Seven-months old baby goes to sleep at 19:00 every day (he is very tired after that), after being fed very well.  He sleeps until 01:30, then wakes up crying -- he wants Food.  We know it is not his "teeth growing" crying, not his "my pacifier fell" crying, and not "I had a bad dream" crying" -- when we give him comfort food, he falls back to sleep for about four more hours. I am not trying to complain, and I am not seeking "better nights" for myself -- still, friends tell me that it is not good For The Baby to have a habit of eating in the middle of the night, at seven months.  Any ideas on how to "get rid" of this habit, for the Baby's sake ?

As far as I know, babies before 1 year old, who demand food in the middle of the night NEED it. Let him eat.

Don't worry about habbits. You'll have planty of time to change them in the future. Besides - on their first year it's hard to reall talk about habbits - as the "habbits" change constantlly without us knowing how.

My advice for you would be to take a deep breath, undrestand that the 1st 2 years are the hardest in that aspect and that it will change.

By the way - 19:00-1:30??? I would kill for that right now...
