Bid on celebrity's underwear for charity?

I think it depends on the charity (if I believe in what it is helping).

I would not! Prefer to just hand the money to the charity. They can have the underware. Celebrity or commoner new or used I'm not that desperate. If I can afford to give money away I can afford to buy my own underware. What would I do with it if I had it? Who would want to display in living room for all to see or on clothesline in back yard either? I'm sure if celebrity tried they could come up with something more desirable. A used dinner napkin with celebrity DNA is more practical and could be displayed in many ways. Why does everything have to be of a sexual nature or in line with sex? Young people today need a lesson in decency.

I think I am going to have to say no. I would just donate to charity. I don't need someone's underwear to convince me to donate!!! We are taking up a charity at my work right now for a man that works at another branch of my casino. His wife has been sick for a long time and now she is terminal. He has been unable to work making bills next to impossible. The man and his wife are in their fifties and have a set of triplets who are in their thirties. The triplets are also confined to their beds due to severe cerebral palsy. This family is in great need of help and our employees are giving with no expectations of receiving anything in return. It is truly amazing the love one can have for a stranger! I work at a small casino in Roland, OK and this man is from a much larger casino in Catoosa, OK. So most of us down this way have never even met him!

My immediate response is, "ICK!"

I would have to say no. I have absolutely no celebrity worship; I wouldn't recognize most of today's 'celebrities' if one of 'em mugged me in the alley. So spending money (even if it were for charity) to purchase a used pair of undies is rather revolting. If I want used undies, I could go shop at the Goodwill!
