A:

About two years ago CNN interviewed Benny Hinn. He came with one of his lawyers. Before they interviewed him they showed a video CNN made when they followed Benny Hinn when he traveled for his "crusades" or for business purposes. They followed him to Moscow and Milan, these are the two places I remember most. At each place he stayed, with some members of his family and pets, the suits were $1,000. 00 a night. Some times they would get two or more suits. These suits came with all kinds of services, massages, room service 24hrs, fingernail services, etc. Eventually they asked him what kind of pay did he receive from his church. That is where the lawyer came in. He consulted with the attorney and then told the reported that he could say that he was paid $500,000.00 a year, but that it was actually more than that. The reporter said that was quite alot of pay for anyone let a lone a "pastor". He went into a tangent about how the board of his church, really his board, thought this was appropiate.                                                                                                 You know on things like this I try to go by this saying,"What would Jesus do?" But lets see what Jesus did or said on related subjects. In Matthew 8: 19-20 this happens, "A scibe approached and said to him, "Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go." Jesus answered him,"Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to rest his head." Benny Hinn has $1,000. 00 a night pillows to rest his head. If you go on your own and read the Scriptures you will find out how Christ as a rule slept on open fields, caves, and what not. I believe he did this as a sign of humility, to show that he was here to serve mankind, to set an example for those pastors that were to come after Him. Again please read you Bible and find out how St. Paul talks about his own ministry, the things he had to go through to spread the Gospel, see the contrast between Benny Hinn and St. Paul. Alot of people talk about the Pope too, the difference is that the Pope does not own the Vatican, he does not write checks, he is not a CEO, he does not have a board, etc. When the Pope dies everything stays there for the next Pope to use in running the Catholic Church. When the Pope travels he does not stay in $1,000.00 a night rooms, he does not drag a family and pets around with him at the expence of monies collected to run the church and all of its hundred of hospitals, orphanages, schools, etc around the world. Sorry, Benny Hinn is only using religion to the benefit of himself, so how can God support him with miracles? It's fake, there are no miracles, if there were, why can't he make the dead rise like Christ did, why can't he make a total blind see, etc.???? He's conning God and mankind, and so are the other of hundreds like him who preach at a cost to you, contradicting what St. Paul said.
