Do You Believe In The Muslim Religion? Please Read This Story.

I found this in my e-mail, and I would like everyone to read it and leave your thoughts about it.

Muslim Belief

This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in prison ministry.  The man who walks with God always gets to his destination..  If you have a pulse you have a purpose.

The Muslim religion is the fastest growing religion per capita in the United States , especially in the minority races!!!

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance.  During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim faiths, who explained each of their beliefs.

After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic Imam had to say.  The Imam gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video.

When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Imam and asked: 'Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven.  If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?

There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation, he replied, 'Non-believers!'

I responded, 'So, let me make sure I have this straight.  All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven.  Is that correct?'

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar.'

He sheepishly replied, 'Yes.'

I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine Pope John Paul commanding all Catholics to kill those of your faith or Dr. Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!'

The Imam was speechless!

I continued, 'I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me!

Let me ask you a question:  Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me?'

You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame. Needless to say, the organizers and/or promoters of the Diversification training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic Imam, and exposing the truth about the Muslims' beliefs.

In twenty years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President!

I think everyone in the U.S. should be required to read this, but with ACLU, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us send it on! This is your chance to make a difference...

Hello I thought I'd put in a word. My family, has more diversity of religion then a UN summit, we've got them all, but I was raised Muslim. My father is Muslim and both my grandmothers are/were, Christians, I can tell you that while the" Clerics of Islam" have declared a jihad and all that stuff, most people of the Muslim faith are peaceful, and preach forgiveness along with Christians. The killing and hatred preached by extremist is far removed from modern Islamic faith. All religion has it's dark day's, but I've been on both sides of the fence, and Christianity and Islam, are actually very similar, except in Islam, Jesus is simply regarded as a prophet, and not the son of God. While I admit that the Qur'an has it's violent chapters it is not the only book of Islam. A person can be of Muslim faith and be religiously tolerant, my father is proof of that. As for me I find myself somewhere in the middle of the religious tug of war, as I've seen most sides of it, and I really never felt it right that most say a person is doomed to hell if they aren't within a certain religion. After the death of my grandmother I was thrown into a kind of limbo, if I was a Muslim then my grandmother would be going to hell, a thought I can't begin to stomach, for such a kind woman, and if I was Cristian, then my parents would be going to hell, again not a good option. The way I see it, there is a God, that is a surety, but I don't think that God damns any good, person to hell, because of there belief system, I think that a good person is a good person, not mater what they believe. That if they pray and believe, it will see them through. I just can't bear to think otherwise. Different religions, evolved in different parts of the world, and thus have different ways of thinking, if  the fact that there is just one right one were true whole continents of people would be tossed into the darkness. I just think that God has a better plan then to just toss them away, I hope that all good people no matter what belief go into the light. I have to. But I've gotten far away from my point, the Muslim religion is not one of hate and intolerance, it is just one of many. I choose, not to choose one, I believe in God and try to live my life the best I can. All I can hope, is that it will help me sleep at night, and see me home.

I found the following reply with a message on the Internet

"Obviously the person who wrote this doesn't know much about the history of Christianity, although he seems to know so much about Islam.  First of all, Christians did kill Muslims in the Crusades.  Christians also tortured and murdered Jews in the Spanish Inquistion; killed hundreds of people across Europe who were accused of being witches, vampires, and werewolves (seriously!); Christians gave Native Americans blankets infected with small pox to kill them; Christian denominations ALL condoned the African slave trade except the Quakers; Christians formed the Ku Klux Klan and other hate groups; Christians lynched over 5000 blacks, Jews, and Italians (and that's just the number of the ones recorded!); and Christians bombed black churches, killed Civil Rights activists, and murdered blacks who were "uppity" because they wanted the right to vote. Just a decade ago, Christians stood outside the funeral of a gay man,  Matthew Shepard, who was killed and left hanging on a fence with signs that read "God Hates Fags!" Other Christians have bombed abortion clinics and killed abortion doctors.

Of course, these Christians do not represent the majority of Christians today - any more than Muslims who have declared Jihad against the western world represent all of Islam. Please send this to the same people who received the message sent by someone who is either uninformed, ignorant, uneducated, or all three. I think we have to be careful about distributing these kinds of half-truths that ignore the violent history of the Christian Church while emphasizing the faults of other religions.  In our effort to follow Christ, we have to show the world His love. Otherwise, like those men who wanted to stone the woman who'd committed adultery, we'll be hard-pressed to throw stones when asked if we have any faults of our own."

Allah is not the god of this world, earthly or spiritually, american was and has gotten away from in god  we trust, this is why the spirit of deception has taken over those people who claim that to kill another is going to get them to heaven, they are going straight to hell, our true god of heaven and earth commands (orders) thou shall not kill, this allah business has gone to far and america needs to trust in gods word and pray for him to pour the wrath of god upon those whom want to destroy america, which by the way is becoming like sodom and gommorah, and may also need the wrath of god to come upon america, to stop us from becoming so sinful, from the top to the lowest of our system. God forbid that god's wrath should fall upon all mankind, because of unbelief of the true god, and go along with that allah. God destroyed nations because of their own imaginations and doing the wrong things in his name, no one should be calling any other gods to destroy other groups of people. This is not holy war it is satanic war to destroy america, but we shall win in the long run, and i would not want to be here to see the wrath of god upon these nations.

May god bless america always

These posts have strayed from the original question.....

Zima, no one denies the horrors that have been committed in the name of Christianity.  Those that committed those crimes were not true Christians or they were badly mistaken.

To the point of the original question by Anna, it somewhat surprises me that the Imam said what he did instead of denying the  accusations against Islam.

I notice that so far no Muslim has posted a reply.

no it wasn't some one that followed God's true word that has done those things...that is talked bout  ( as the e-mail said )  ESPICALLY THE KKK....THEY ARE COWARDS...   .anyone can call theirself a christian no mater what faith they belong to  but only God know's and can say we are a christian,  otherwise if you do not do those things that are in God's 10 commandment you are reliougious and not a true believer (  what ever faith you choose  ) or think you are a good christian... but you aren't really unless you live and think  in God's words.   only from the true bible that was wrote in truth.  AND EVERYTHING THE 10 COMMANDMENT SAY'S....

and yes it is already here,  ad we have lot of us to blame it  For. ..... God already warned us in the bible and we knew it,  so  we as a nation under God need to stop all of it the best that we can and one way is for us to read  and practice again the 10 commandments....in our daily life and do whatever is neccessary to have our nation back ...... ....HAVE A HONEST ELECTION AND QUIT MESSING WITH THE VOTES  AND THE VOTERS......HAVE SOMEONE TO RESPRESENT US IN A PROPER WAY AND BE A TRUE GODLY MAN  OR MEN OR WOMAN IN ANY POTLICAL CHAIR OR POSITION OF GOVERNMENT,  RIGHT DOWN TO A POLICE MAN.   ........  put PRAYER BACK IN SCHOOL AND TAKE VIOLENCE OUT OF SCHOOL...........      PUT SAFETY BACK ON OUR STREETS.  AND TAKE GANGS OFF THE STREET.............. .KEEP OUR CHILDREN SAFE AND KEEP  ALL THE MOLESTERS LOCKED UP IN ONE PRISON  IN THE US. ......       LET THE GOVERNMENT HELP US INSTEAD OF THE OTHER WAY AROUND AND GIVE BACK THE JOBS SO PEOPLE QUIT STEALING FROM OTHER PEOPLE.....   AND  HAVE GOD IN OUR DAILY LIFE BY READING AND DO AS IT IS WRITTEN........amen

You see, this is why I don't pick a religion. I see Kid, who is probably a very nice person of faith, saying that "Christians must be diligent to witness to-not dialogue with Muslims". Using religion as a means to separate the world, and calling my fathers religion a "false" one, if I did that with Christianity, I'd get death threats. To use religion to dictate who you can and cannot talk to always seemed to be a asinine concept to me. Why would God, who loves everyone, want us to draw lines in the sand? This is the cause of wars and hate crimes, the way I see it, we'll all see who's right at the end, so until then, what is the point of separating ourselves? The main point of the country that we live in is that any man should be able to practice his beliefs in his own way. That's what it was founded on, and that's what should be true. I have many friends of various religions, and I've never had a problem, but if you are truly a Christian, shouldn't you try to forgive and love all? Not to separate, youself, from others for their beliefs? If I can and I was raised a "non modern" Muslim and you are so modern in your beliefs, why can't you? Quite frankly I think that shunning/ hating people for there beliefs is not a Christian practice, I know tons of Christians, and I like them, and they like me. Your pointing out the failings of Islam, and then doing the exact same thing you point out! Religion is meant to connect the world, not separate it, that can only lead to fighting and pain. So I say to kid: Hi, I'm Elijah I come from a Muslim family, I collect books, and I like dogs and checkers, how about you?Smile

Greetings Anna; No I do not believe in the muslim religion. I am greatful to those who preach in the prison ministry. They have a hard labor to perform. But atleast they can still proclaim the name of Jesus; the only name where by we  can be saved. I want to add this information because I believe the prison ministry and the work of our Navy Chaplains have some similarities. This year the Greatest Navy in the World decided; that Navy Chaplains in the U.S. Navy can no longer mention the NAME of JESUS . Compare this to Acts chapter 5 verse 28. I know this to be true because I live in the largest Navy base in the world. Can you imagine being a Christian soldier fighting for your country and your Chaplain can not use the NAME of JESUS? Well it is a fact. Here and now. But......BUT a Muslim Imam can call on the name of Allah!  Pray for the United States we need it .

If you think things can't get worse it's probably only because you lack sufficient imagination.

Hi Anna... I'm gonna throw in my two cents worth here.  I realize, as Elijah has pointed out,  that not all muslims want to reach out and kill those who stand outside of their faith. The problem I have with that is simple; how in the hell are we supposed to figure out which ones are the peaceful ones and which ones are the extreme ones?  I hear the argument that muslims are racially profiled and I would say to that argument.... ya think?  Hell, when we're looking for a serial killer, that person is profiled and a description is made public.  If it happens to be a white, blue eyed male, you can bet we'll look at all white, blue eyed males a little differently!

My husband is in the U S Army.  He is currently on his 3rd deployment to Iraq and I live in the Ft Hood area.  Yes, that Ft Hood... the one that just got shot up by some supposedly non-extremist muslim.   A major in the army no less!   One who didn't want to deploy to Afghanistan and fight against his muslim brothers but who had no compunctions about killing and wounding his American brothers.  And I don't hear too many talking about the fact that since he was a psychiatrist, he certainly wouldn't have been fighting over there in the first place!   With 13 dead and countless others wounded in my very own back yard, I certainly feel I have earned the right to speak up & out.

The Army & other agencies, without a doubt, failed to take a closer look at the man responsible for the chaos that occurred here.  I think we will see corrections to that in the future.

Ft Hood is the largest military base in the world.  It is home to many soldiers and their families, & it employs many civilians.  I worked on the base myself.  It is a place where one would assume to be safe.  And yet, just as other places in our nation have learned, we sadly now know that no place is safe.

I have no intention of getting into a religious conversation here or anywhere else.  I have my beliefs and I respect other peoples right to believe what they will.  What I believe in the most however, is that in this country, each person has the right to their religion, whatever that may be.  My husband fights for each individual to have that right.  He, as well as countless others, puts his own life in danger so that we may live and speak freely, just as we are here.

Growing up, my father used to say that your rights stop right at the end of my nose, and I couldn't agree more.  When the extremists brought the fight over here, to OUR country.... that's where their rights stop.

In my humble opinion, if the peaceful muslims wish for the people of the world to respect them, they simply have to unit against the extremists.  They will need to find a way out of their fear in their own countries and point to those who put all of them as well as all of us in harms way.  I realize that's easier said than done when dealing with people who have no respect for human life, however, it must happen.

More people have taken lives in the name of religion than any other single cause in the world.  We can discuss it until we're blue but the bottom line is that this fight has gone on since the beginning of time and will continue until the end.

Luckily, I live in the United States of America.  At least for now, I still have the right to bear arms, to speak freely, & to choose my religion.  I will fight to keep those rights & am willing to take up arms to protect my family from muslim terrorists or any terrorists for that matter.  In that list I include thugs, drug dealers, would be rapists, child molesters, gangs & murderers.  My dad got it right; regardless of your religion, your rights stop right at the end of my nose, or at my front & back door.
