Baseball- in Israel?

I heard that around June there will be an opening of a baseball league in Israel. Is it true? I like the game, but I don't know its rules. What are they?

An even better way to find out about the IBL (Israel Baseball League) is to go to their website in English http://www.israelbaseballleague.com/ (click on English).

Last summer was their first season and it was great! I attended about 10 games and was the PA Announcer for 3 of them. Tickets can be purchased at the ball parks for 25NIS (about $6) and it's a lot of fun.

Players will give autographs after games and you can get a foul ball if you're lucky. Former MLB players like Art Shamsky (NY Mets) and Ron Bloomberg (Yankees) served as managers.
