Down and our in Bartlett...Collection agency harrasment

Can a collection agency call for a debt from an ambulance service to collect over $500 for a bill that is dated 2004! My Insurance was not filed at that time? My husband and I are on disability...plus took care of our terminally ill daughter for three years, she passed away less than a year ago...We filed Bankruptcy in 2005/or 06! Can they harras me about this? We are just now getting our credit rating in good shape...we filed bankruptcy because our daughter had no insurance...we spent all our savings on our medical care and bought the prscriptions she needed until she got on TNcare and then Medicare. Help! My insurance has always paid for this before? We can't afford this large bill. My husband has severe heart trouble and just came home from surgey on a disc in his neck he is also become oxygen depentdent! Any suggestions? We were told by our lawyer that when someone is on disability income that companies can't collet..is that true? My e-mail address is Robertrappel@aol.com I would appreciate some advice!
